Sarah Swell's portal series is all about embracing the alchemy and magic of metal and life. A faceted rose cut diamond is encapsulated in a fluid 18k gold setting made from studio scrap, bringing our production process full circle. With intense heat, a little bit of luck and a lot of skill, a setting is formed around each special stone - the results are often unpredictable and never repeatable.
